COMFORT PUBLIC LIBRARY IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!

The newly remodeled library is open! If you haven't already, come in and see all the improvements that have been made. We've kept the historic feel (rock walls, tin ceiling, ceiling fans, etc.) but added a lot of "modern" conveniences! The door on High Street can be opened with a push of a button, the circulation desk is more accessible, and the ramp into the Tech Room and Learning Center (available again for community use) is now protected on both sides. In addition, everything is so fresh and pretty! We have new carpet, gorgeous new bookshelves, a new “teen” area, and a more open feel to the upstairs area—the new look is updated, but without feeling “modern”. And you should see our new Children’s Area—with a beautiful Hill Country mural painted by local artist Christina Blackledge and a “sitting around the campfire” theme, it is breathtaking! So come on in and visit us; get a library card if you haven’t already. It has been a long wait, but we think it has been worth it. We think you will, too!

“Save the Cedars”, now coming in JUNE

Author Elizabeth McGreevy’s important presentation about saving the much-maligned Mountain Cedars, has been rescheduled. It will now be presented in the Library’s Learning Center on Saturday, June 15, at 10:30 am. You will enjoy hearing her thoughts about saving these important Native Plants!
