The Comfort Public Library usually hosts a celebration day of children and books each year with a fun-filled program that promotes reading, well-being and multilingual literacy. We will resume this important program when we can safely host our community children.
Started in 1925, El Dia de los Ninos is a Mexican holiday held on April 30th that celebrates children with a day of fun. In 1996, Texas author Pat Mora started a movement that culminated with combining the holiday with literacy and books, thus creating the present-day El Dia de los Ninos/El Dia de los Libros.
