Each July, the Comfort Public Library Summer Reading Program kicks off for 6 weeks of FUN! Planned around the theme for the year ("Oceans of Possibilities" for 2022) programs, activities and crafts are provided for kids of all ages. Participants are encouraged to keep logs of books read during the Summer Reading Program and to have a good time!
A brief history of Texas reading programs: The Texas State Library and Archives Commission sponsored the Texas Reading Club from 1958-2012, hosted Texas Teens Read! from 2008-2012 and joined the national Collaborative Summer Library Program in 2013, which is the current source for summer reading programs.
