The Backdoor Bookstore is open for browsing whenever the Library is open. Enter through the Library or around the corner from 7th Street.
The Backdoor Bookstore was established in 2012 to provide a revenue stream to support the Comfort Public Library operating costs. It is staffed by volunteers and relies on donations of good quality books and audio visual materials from the Comfort community and surrounding areas.
The Library appreciates donations of:
- contemporary and classic fiction
- up-to-date nonfiction
- compact discs and DVDs
However, the Library cannot accept:
- badly worn books
- medical or legal books
- instruction manuals
- computer books
- encyclopedias or pamphlets
- VHS and audio cassettes
Donations may be dropped off at the Library during open hours or please call ahead at 830-995-2398 to arrange a drop-off day and time.
